How did you get into the automotive business? 
I joined Burmah Castrol as a sales clerk straight from school.

What does your job entail?
Leading, coaching and developing a large team (circa 40 across the UK & Ireland) of account managers, responsible for delivering increased aftersales profitability in the franchised car and truck sectors.

How will your job change over the next few years?
The job will focus more on working with our account managers to help them raise awareness of Castrol’s growing range of profit-generating aftersales solutions.

Previous jobs? 
I have worked in several roles in my 28 years with Castrol, including account management retail management.

What advice would you give to young people joining the industry? 
Do not be afraid to ask for support, ask for coaching and development from their line managers and more senior peers, and have a clear view of the future.

What keeps you awake?
Not a lot!

What business person inspires you and why?
Larry Smith, MD of Castrol UK (now retired); a truly charismatic and visionary leader.

Any that reduces my golf handicap.

Brittany, France.

Kelly’s Heroes.
