FindsYou.com has discovered that demand for small Volkswagens now accounts for 32% of all cars being requested through its service.

The website allows buyers to specify what car they are looking for rather than searching through websites looking at cars for sale.

More than 1,500 dealers have signed up to date. Chief executive Guy Walker said it is generating sales leads for dealers.

The information from FindsYou.com shows that although car buyers are downsizing to smaller and more economical cars, they still searching for premium brands.
