One of the UK's largest independent accident repairers, A Wilcox Motor Bodies, has collapsed.

The Walsall-based £4.1 million turnover bodyshop, one of the 20 largest in the UK, has ceased trading with the loss of 35 jobs.

Poppleton and Appleby in Birmingham has been appointed administrator.

Its collapse comes just weeks after the collapse of Autodex, the UK's fifth largest independent bodyshop group.
