Pendragon is closing its Cadillac, Corvette and Hummer dealership in Edinburgh.

The closure of the Stratstone-branded outlet means the end of a sponsorship deal with the city's ice-hockey team, the Edinburgh Capitals.

Your comments:
Much is being said about Pendragon and the current share price etc. It must be said that they are not closing dealerships down just for fun. There must be a plan in place presumably engineered with there funders, and they will simply be actioning it. Very sad for all employees who are becoming unemployed at this time. Pendragon however need to stick to the plan if they are to survive

First of many over the next few weeks, would be very supprised if the company was still around by end of year 2008 share price 2.44p. sat on the fence far too long Sir Nigel, Trevor and Martin should have gone long ago.

You should have gone out to your dealerships and asked the people on the shop floor what was going wrong years ago and you wouldnt be in the mess you find this company in now. It really is a crying shame, but once again shows how badly run the motor trade is in the UK..

Just shows you what can happen, a highly ambitious service manager and parts manager at Hull (tf/mc) catch the ear of an influential city banker, Mr Rudd, he then introduces them to huge unregulated amounts of money to borrow to buy up the competition. Might have worked if the pair of them had taken time to talk to the managers in the sites instead of throwing them a book called "the way", it became more of a cult than a business model, the mess they left at C D Bramall should have been a big warning to Sir Rudd and the city, I can hear the fat lady singing in the wings which is a real shame for the majority of hard working capable staff in the Dealerships
