Ford has unveiled its next generation Focus model in five-door and estate guises at the Geneva Motor Show today.
This new model isn't expected to reach UK showrooms until spring 2011.
More than 1.3 million Ford Focus models have been sold in the UK since its launch in 1998.
The five-door is the most popular model (83%) and the estate version currently makes up around 10% of all sales.
Diesel engines account for 36% of sales and the most popular petrol choice is the 1.6-litre 98bhp Duratec.
Ford said UK drivers prefer highly specified vehicles with 55% of them opting for Zetec trim and 16% choosing top-of-the-range Titanium.
The new Ford Focus range will feature new low carbon diesel engines from Ford Dagenham and petrol engines from Bridgend among its new line up of engines.
