The Fabia accounts for almost half of all Skodas on UK roads.

The model makes up 43.3% of the 366,019 Skodas currently registered in the UK.

Skoda ranks as the country’s 18th most popular make with 0.977% of registered vehicles on UK roads.

More than a quarter of Skodas (27.41%) are privately owned by women. Men own 55.47% and 10.65% are company cars. Only 6.13% of owners have put private plates on their vehicles.

Manual transmission is the most popular choice for Skoda owners with only 5.32% going for the automatic option.

Five-door hatchbacks are the first choice, making up 70.09% of the total parc. Estates account for 24.57%.

Trailing the Fabia as the most popular model are the Octavia (35.68%) and Felicia (13.80%).

Leading colour choices among owners are silver/aluminium (20.42%) and blue (17.65%). Grey (16.68%) and red (13.42%) follow closely behind.

Almost a fifth of all Skodas (19.08%) are less than two years old while 38.99% have been registered in the last 48 months.

Nearly a quarter (23.83%) have an engine size below 1,348cc while 27.80% have engines sized between 1,350 and 1,749cc.

The top locations for Skoda are Birmingham, Sheffield, Nottingham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Portsmouth, Peterborough, Leicester and Oxford.

Superminis make up 45.53% of the parc, followed by 35.68% medium family cars and 15.17% small family cars.
