Marshall closed its Peugeot showroom in Huntingdon towards the end of June in order to focus on a half million pound redevelopment of its St Neots Peugeot site, which was less than nine miles away.
Daksh Gupta, Marshall chief executive, said: “By concentrating and investing heavily in one site to look after the St Neots and Huntingdon area, we will be able to deliver a significantly better experience to our many customers in the area.
“Importantly, through consultation, we have been able to offer alternative employment to over 80% of our colleagues in the former Huntingdon business who want to remain with Marshall.”
Marshall now has five Peugeot dealerships at St. Neots, Bedford, Peterborough, Cambridge and Bury St. Edmunds.
Rod Philpot, Peugeot network development director, said: “Within our network plan, we see the Marshall Group as one of our key dealer partners moving forward.”
Gupta said Marshall has managed to outperform the market every month this year and said satisfaction levels where rising steadily across the group. It’s his intention to have all 46 sites being above the national average before the end of this year.
