Perrys has opened its Mazda franchise in Portsmouth following the closure of Solent Motor Company which previously had the franchise for the area.

The new six-car showroom on Walton Road, Farlington sits alongside Perrys’ existing Fiat and Peugeot dealerships.

Mazda aftersales, servicing and MoT services are also fully operational.

As well as the new Mazda development, Perrys is investing in floor-to-ceiling refurbishment of its Fiat and Peugeot dealerships.

This expansion will create additional space for a new, all-makes Perrys Service Centre at Walton Road, with 16 bays, MoT facilities and improved waiting areas.

Perrys is also expanding its used car sales area to accommodate an extra 30 vehicles, increasing capacity to 100.

At least six new jobs have been created, with more anticipated to follow as the site developments progress.

Bob Wright, general manager at the Walton Road site is upbeat about Perrys’ investment in the new franchise: “We believe it is important that Mazda customers can be quickly represented again in what is a key population area in the south and Perrys is happy to oblige.
