SMC Renault has opened the doors to its new dedicated van service centre on Boundary Way in Woking.
The new centre was created to take care of Renault van customers in the Surrey area and was born from the ashes of SMC’s Renault dealership, which was closed in March due to pressures from the economic climate and overheads at the site.
The new centre is managed by Wayne Thompson, former LCV workshop controller at the SMC dealership.
Thompson said: “There are many van drivers and fleets in the Surrey area, particularly in close proximity to both Heathrow and Gatwick, yet there is a distinct lack of places to go for servicing. ”
The site has three ramps to carry out work on vans of up to 3.5 tonnes.
The van sales department will be headed up by Mike Bedlow.
The centre will provide courtesy vans and open on Saturday mornings. All vans that come in will be cleaned.
