Thursday 7 May 2009, 09:00

Derek Slack Motors has taken on the Subaru and Isuzu brands at its dealership in Middlesborough.Derek Slack Motors

The three-acre site has a new purpose-built showroom for Subaru and Isuzu vehicles and has a staff of 30. The site also has the Skoda franchise.

Tony Slack, dealer principal at Derek Slack Motors, said: “We are convinced that by securing these two brands we are investing in a successful future.

“The introduction of Subaru’s Boxer diesel range, together with Isuzu’s Rodeo family, gives us the opportunity to return to both business and commercial vehicle markets.”

Paul Tunnicliffe, managing director, Subaru and Isuzu (UK), said: “We will only be making a few new appointments in 2009, and Derek Slack Motors fits in perfectly, not only from a key location point of view but as one of our new generation of dealers.

“For our continued growth and development, it is vital that we have the right people with the right skills in our dealer network.”
