An updated system of booking services online has been launched by DCML.

The new version gives customers more control by allowing them to check availability and book a service themselves.

It also links directly to DCML's Dealer Car Manager platform which allows people to book and confirm charges linked to courtesy cars before they arrive on the forecourt.

Vince Powell, managing director of DCML said: " “It gives the dealer the opportunity to engage and communicate directly with the customer electronically, and potentially plug any holes in the schedule with special last-minute offers.”

Powell said by presenting prices online, service advisors are no longer having to spend time quoting for work, freeing them to concentrate on other tasks.

The system can also be developed to generate incremental income opportunities by listing available extras and to build a database of new sales leads and servicing data.
