The National Franchised Dealers Association presented three awards to industry members during its Autumn Ball this weekend.

Mercedes-Benz UK was named manufacturer of the year, following its industry leading performance in the NFDA’s Dealer Attitude Surveys.

David Main, the former chief executive of motor industry charity BEN, received a special recognition award from the NFDA for his work in transforming the organisation in his seven year tenure.

And insurer Allianz was presented with an industry partner of the year award.

The event ended with a performance by covers band The Hods (heads of department) fronted by Steve Nash, chief executive of the Institute of the Motor Industry, on guitar and vocals.

A total of £1,230 was raised for Ben, the automotive charity, on the night.
