Enquirymax claims that the “the market is turning” after used sales surged by 39% in July.

Data gathered by the enquiry management specialist showed an increase in enquiries for used vehicles of 43% between July 2016 and July 2017 with test drives having risen by 60% and orders by 39% over the same period.

The internet continued to play a dominant role, Enquirymax said in a statement, adding that leads from digital channels had increased by 104%, surpassing manufacturer leads, which grew by 30%.

David Boyce, managing director of Enquirymax, said: “It’s clear the market is turning and dealers are putting more focus and resource into used sales.

“The internet is increasingly becoming the primary resource for leads, and this means that dealers must manage the customer journey seamlessly to maximise sales from every lead and digital marketing spend.”

Enquirymax now provides sales lead management software and retail consultancy to over 600 dealers in the UK.

The data analysis, from over 500 dealerships across the UK, is used to inform retail consultancy and advice for customers.
