Accounts Assistant Reporting in to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will have varied role and will be responsible for covering all accounts functions including cashiering, sales ledger, purchase ledger, vehicle administration and nominal ledger. Your daily responsibilities will include Cashiering. Assist in the allocation and banking of monies received. This will include counting cash that has come in as well as ensuring all receipts are produced from all departments within Milton Keynes. Sales Ledge Process payments from the bank statement, chasing outstanding debts and any other sales ledger related responsibilities. Purchase Ledger Process invoices, payments to suppliers, chasing up queries to completion, statement reconciliations and any other purchase ledger related responsibilities. Assist the accounts and vehicle administration department in the day to day running of the department. You will be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be highly computer literate. You will have good organisational skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and will be able to meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills for dealing with suppliers and internal managers. A basic knowledge of Excel Good accounting knowledge. A proven track record of reconciling difficult supplier accounts and dealing with volumes. Exceptional accuracy and excellent attention to detail. The ability to work under pressure and with a heavy workload. The courage to challenge the status quote and seek to implement improvements to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
