This role is for Sales Ledger and credit control which is a crucial function for this business and it is important that you are an incredibly effective communicator and able to build and maintain long lasting working relationships with colleagues and customers. The main duties will include: to manage the Groups Sales Ledgers keeping them up to date and well maintained. To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to your area of responsibility are adhered to at all times. Enter details into the accounting system ensuring that they are posted to the correct account. Ensure bank reconciliation is completed accurately . Ensure any credits are actioned as appropriate and that the necessary accounts are amended. Ensure all cash received and Bacs entries are posted on a daily basis and allocated. Ensure new accounts are opened according to Company policy and checked for Risk Management. Identify overdue accounts, despatching of overdue letters, following up with chase phone calls. Recording telephone calls made and producing list of cheques promised. Produce list of customers where payment has not been received and recommendations for credit stop and or legal action. Production of monthly invoice runs to given timetable. Control adjustments to credit limit, according to policy. Creation and Posting of general journals Monitor and reconcile Inter Company Balances Forwarding queries to relevant manager . Ensure that credit notes are authorised according to company policy . Ensuring that unpaid cheques are actioned on a daily basis. To account and record all cash cheques credit card payments from all departments daily. To account for all petty cash, check and obtain authorisation from Line Managers as appropriate. To give the necessary change to department Monitor and analyse daily control account reconciliations and report any variances to Line Manager. Ensure vehicle stock reconciliations are completed accurately and promptly. You will possess the following skills: At least 2 years experience as a Sales Ledger Credit Control Clerk AAT Level 3 or working towards this. The ability to communicate at a highly effective level with customers, colleagues and superiors.  Have a flexible and support approach. Good knowledge of Kerridge Dealer Management System.  This is a superb opportunity for an experienced credit controller with strong sales ledger skills. Salary: 18k pa - ONLY CANDIDATES WITH PREVIOUS MOTOR RETAIL EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
