Our client is the official UK Distributor for a number of leading passenger vehicle brands.
The business is currently going through a period of growth and now needs to recruit an Area Sales Manager to manage the South West/ South Wales regions.
The Area Sales Manager will be tasked with maintaining and developing further profitable relationships with existing customers as well as prospecting for new business opportunities. The challenge will be to build and maintain close relationships with customers through regular visits and communication to ensure a full appreciation for their business needs and buying intentions. Also to prepare tailored sales proposals and present quotations and offers to customers, as well as complete sales negotiations, ensuring compliance with company sales guidelines.
Monitor and report on market conditions, competitor activity and product developments.
Business improvement plans and training and development programmes will also be a focus to raise customer operating standards.
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a passenger vehicle sales environment
- Experience working with passenger vehicles in a fleet, rental or finance sales role.
- Strong relationship building and influencing skills
- Well-ordered and organised
- Developed commercial acumen
- Flexibility to manage a large geographical area
