Bodyshop Equipment Sales Director

Our client, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of High Quality and Specialist Bodyshop Equipment is looking for a Sales Director to join their senior management team and drive their UK wide sales performance. You must have experience and knowledge of the Bodyshop/Accident Repair industry so if you do, please read on!

As this is primarily a UK field sales role, location is not important but you must be in the UK.

As an individual you will have:

  • A very good personal sales track record in capital equipment sales, in the accident repair bodyshop market, selling to body shop managers/owners.
  • Knowledge of and ideally selling/sold welders, riveters, jig benches, infrared paint curing, wheel aligners, 2 post and 4 post lifts and other similar Bodyshop equipment. Or you could be selling/sold complementary capital equipment of paint spray guns, compressors and other paint spraying equipment into the bodyshop market.
  • Good experience as a Sales Manager/Director.
  • Capable of proactively selling a wide range of equipment to both new customers, as well as to existing customers, and also providing expert technical advice to customers.
  • The motivation and drive to develop and grow the sales of the business through both your own direct sales and also your sales team’s performance.
  • A panel beating background would be ideal so that you are experienced in using the bodyshop equipment and tooling in a bodyshop environment.
  • Great inter-personal skills

Day to day duties will include:

  • Involvement in the setting of sales targets for the business and monitoring of results achieved
  • Account management of existing accounts
  • Development of new accounts
  • Ensuring that company wide sales leads are properly followed up
  • Managing the external sales team through regular communication/support to maximise their effectiveness, on both existing and new accounts
  • Involvement in the selection and introduction of new products
  • Working closely with marketing on marketing/advertising campaigns to promote the business/products

You will benefit from:

  • A competitive Basic Salary of £50,000 - £60,000 p.a. depending on your experience/capability.
  • Commission – based on personal sales and company sales achieved each year – expected to be at £20,000 to £30,000 p.a. level, but this is uncapped giving you great potential to earn.
