Having just launched a unique software product for the automotive industry my client now has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in selling into the Automotive Sector.
This is a key position within the company. Initially your role will be to generate new business directly, however once growth has been established the role will focus on building and managing a nationwide sales team.
Design a new business sales strategy focusing initially on creating a prospect database, then develop and implement a contact strategy which leads to successful conversion of the sales pipeline and delivery of agreed sales objectives.
Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the team to develop proposals that meet client’s needs, addresses their concerns, and overcomes objections.
Participate in pricing the solution/service based on market feedback gained through active conversations with prospects and clients.
Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to develop the product to meet changing / emerging customer needs.
Develop account management strategies for existing clients which lead to increased business.
Present new products and services to enhance existing relationships as and when they become available.
Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
Work with marketing support to develop sales collateral.
Over time recruit, induct and manage sales team to deliver against agreed sales objectives.
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience of software solutions sales, ideally from within the automotive sector with knowledge of DMS or VHC software. However, sales experience within data or document management sector will be equally advantageous.
