The team of around 60 craftsmen and engineers create not only some of the most beautiful and acclaimed classic car restorations in the world, but also some of the fastest, most competitive historic racing cars. Its global network of showrooms showcase an intricate attention-to-detail and a commitment to craftsmanship, established over the years since the company was founded.
As part of their continued growth, they have a requirement for a Classic Car Coachbuilder based at their Engineering site in Essex. You will be reporting in to the Body Shop Manager on a daily basis to ensure vehicles are finished to the highest standards before being moved on to paint and preparation.
. To form, repair, fabricate metal parts on any vehicle or part to an impeccable finish so fit for the job/level required
. Work closely with other metal workers / coachbuilders
. Strip and fit, metal finishing.
. Keep up cleanliness of the body shop.
. To protect under carriage after completion of job, check work and others to keep quality in line with old and new standards going forward.
. To grow, learn and master the trade.
. Must have experience in a vehicle workshop environment ideally within a Classic car / Restoration environment
. Experience of shaping and forming large body components including chassis, wings, bonnets and door skins
. Metal shaping, forming and manipulation
. Metal shaping sandbag
. English Wheel Experience
. Metal rollers and bending tools as well as hand tools
. Metal guillotine
. Understanding of different metallic products (Steel / Aluminium / Brass / Stainless Steel)

Salary Between £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.
