Job Description
My client is looking for a dedicated, and highly skilled classic car fabricator to join their restoration team, due to an expansion in the business.
You will have the opportunity to work on all types of work, from full restorations, from the chassis up, through to part restoration, and event prep!
This is a world-renowned business, with customers from all corners of the globe, and for the right candidate, the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience from the existing team.
The successful candidate will have great technical knowledge, preferably with expertise on vintage and pre-war cars. To be successful in this role, you will need to have an eye for detail, and a love of classic cars, which will shine through in your work. Responsibilities
Your experience will include working on classic iconic vehicles such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar as well as other reputable marques.
We are looking for a team player with the following experience:
Metal fabrication.
Panel making.
Welding (MIG and TIG)
Knowledge of 'Gap and profiling'.
Lead loading (preferred but not essential)
Panel beating.
Dry building /fitting of the body shells
Working with our body shop to understand tolerance's during panel work
In addition to the above you will also require the following qualities:
A mechanical know how is required for taking apart the vehicle and the reassembly.
Organisational skills and the ability to maintain a clean workplace is a necessity.
You’ll need be able to work as part of a forward thinking team. Being a small business, working as a team, and understanding what it takes to be involved in a classic car restoration is an important factor.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Experience with vintage cars beneficial
Own tools required
A real passion for vintage and classic cars
Salary and Benefits
Salary in the region of £16 per hour
Monday – Friday
No weekends
