The team of around 60 craftsmen and engineers create not only some of the most beautiful and acclaimed classic car restorations in the world, but also some of the fastest, most competitive historic racing cars. Its global network of showrooms showcase an intricate attention-to-detail and a commitment to craftsmanship, established over the years since the company was founded.

As part of their continued growth, they have a requirement for a Classic Car Paint and Preparation Specialist based at their Engineering site in Essex. You will be reporting in to the Body Shop Manager on a daily basis to ensure vehicles are finished to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

. To repair, paint, restore, prep, clean, polish and fabricate parts on any vehicle or part to an impeccable finish so fit for the job/level required
. Work closely with metal workers / coachbuilders to ensure bodywork is ready to be painted
. Strip and fit, metal finishing.
. Keep up cleanliness of the body shop & paint booths.
. To protect under carriage after completion of job, check work and others to keep quality in line with old and new standards going forward.
. To grow, learn and master the trade.

Experience Required:

. Experience in a vehicle workshop environment ideally within a Classic car / Restoration environment
. Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
. Must have full Body Shaping experience
. Knowledge of Polyester body filler
. Experience of painting with different surfaces and finishes
. Understanding of different metallic products (Steel / Aluminium)
. Focuses on customer needs and satisfaction; sets high standards for quality and quantity; monitors and maintains quality and productivity; works in a systematic, methodical and orderly way, consistently achieves project goals.
. Maintains a positive outlook at work, working productively in a pressurised environment.
. Takes responsibility for actions, projects and people and uses initiative, working under own direction.
. Initiates and generates activity and introduces changes into work processes.
Makes quick, clear decisions which may include tough choices or considered risks

Salary Between £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
