Movex is an online vehicle logistics platform that connects customers wanting to move vehicles (typically car dealers) with an approved network of transport providers. The transport providers create a competitive marketplace by bidding on jobs placed onto the Movex platform.
Since forming in 2012, Movex has witnessed continued and rapid growth year on year and is now seeking to strengthen the team with an accountant who will manage the finance function.
Movex is part of Cox Automotive, one of the world’s largest automotive service providers.
About the role…
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting function; ensuring accurate and timely production of financial information, the maintenance of robust balance sheet controls and effective working capital management.
You will also provide support to the management team through financial and commercial analysis as well as reporting monthly and annual financial information to Group Head Office.
You will have relevant accounting experience and whilst a Finance qualification is desirable, it is not essential. You can work at pace in a busy environment and are motivated and focussed when under pressure and are able to adapt and work effectively in a variety of situations.
An analytical thinker, you tackle issues and problems in a clear and logical way, with the ability to ensure a high degree of accuracy and quality in your work. You have excellent IT skills and are confident using Microsoft Excel.
You are able to communicate appropriate, concise, articulate and accurate information in written, verbal and presentation formats, to the right audience at the right time. You also demonstrate the ability to understand, respect and respond appropriately to other people’s behaviour, concerns and motives.
