A leading automotive manufacturer is looking to fill a key role in their field team. They require a Zone Manager (Sales) to manage a portfolio of dealers in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
Candidates will need to be currently working in a sales or sales management role for either another manufacturer or within a dealer, with a very good understanding of automotive retail sales. You will need to demonstrate a track record of success and promotion, strong ambition, drive and excellent commercial acumen and interpersonal skills.
The Zone Manager (Sales) will be tasked with maintaining, and developing further, profitable relationships with Dealers in this important region. The challenge will be to build and maintain a close relationship with the Network through regular visits and communication and to encourage the promotion of sales and marketing initiatives. Also to provide support and direction with regard sales campaigns and to implement process to effectively measure Dealer performance across sales targets, stock planning, order commitments and forecasting. The role will also be focussed on auditing and reporting on the Dealer network to ensure compliance with franchise and operating standards. Business improvement plans and training and development programmes will also be a focus to raise Dealers operating standards.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience working for an automotive manufacturer or dealer group
- Strong people management and influencing skills
- Developed commercial acumen
- Flexibility to manage a large geographical area
