Senior Accountant - Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the accounting functions of allocated dealerships; for the accurate maintenance of accounting records and balance sheets; to provide a professional and high quality accounting service and financial support to the dealership management teams. To ensure all team members have clearly documented objectives and a personal development plan that will allow them to support objectives. To ensure that direct reports have challenging and stimulating work at all times. To support a working environment in which team members are motivated and enjoy working with the company. To monitor the performance of direct reports ensuring that their work is produced to the high professional standard expected of the company. Produce meaningful Management Accounts on time. To compile a comprehensive month end file with all support documents and reconciliations Ensure Composite Submission is on time. Ensure Head Office reports meet deadlines. Staff Reviews (especially new starters). Collate Tax files / P11D’s information. Review staff training needs and training planner. Attend Dealer MPR Meeting. Complete Accountants checklist ensuring that all items are fully compiled with. Review VAT checking reports. ONLY CANDIDATES WITH PREVIOUS MOTOR RETAIL EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
