 1st Line Support Consultant – Oxford

Our client provides Business Process Automation solutions to a wide range of automotive business enterprises. They are leaders in hosted solutions for the automotive industry and have a comprehensive range of supply chain and customer centric solutions.

The Role

Due to continuing business requirements, my client are now looking to recruit an experienced Support Consultant to join the team in Oxford.

As a Support Consultant you will be responsible for providing first line support to our growing user base, now in excess of 2000 users, who use our in-house bespoke software within the motor industry. Your day to day responsibilities will also include:

· Dealing with user queries and problem resolution whilst logging all user calls/emails on internal systems
· Escalating issues as required in a timely fashion
· Help maintain/report from relevant call logging systems
· Assisting with testing where required
· Producing test case documentation where required to assist with testing at all levels
· Recreate known problems from live environments on our test systems to allow the product team to resolve
· Internal server checks
· Server Tape changes

The Candidate

Working within a team environment, the ideal Support Consultant will have excellent customer service skills together with good interpersonal & team working skills. As this is a highly customer-focused role involving a high degree of contact, you will be expected to demonstrate a professional and confident manner at all times. You will also have:

· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of Microsoft office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
· Knowledge of SQL (desirable although not essential)
· Very good general level of education
· Support/Helpdesk experience (desirable although not essential)
