Our client is a leading supplier of innovative retail and digital solutions for automotive dealers and manufacturers. They are now seeking a field-based Account Director to manage a number of major Automotive Manufacturer accounts. The role will be field based and would ideally suit a candidate living somewhere between the M4 and M62. 

This role would suit someone with a strong understanding of  digital marketing solutions - ideally with a background in the automotive industry, however experience selling software solutions in other sectors is also very relevant. You will need to be a first class communicator and build strong working relationships with OEM head-office staff. This high-profile, business critical role is key to the success of the business and would suit a really driven, ambitious individual with the desire to progress their career with a large, growing, innovative business.

Position Purpose

To be the strategic interface between the company and its Automotive Manufacturer customers. Designing and delivering solutions for customers to enhance revenue generation and meet customers’ strategic objectives.

The Account Director in summary is charged with and responsible for developing, facilitating, and implementing all aspects of sales and marketing strategies relative to those Manufacturer Accounts assigned.

The primary purpose for Account Director is to meet sales projections through professional diligence in meeting the needs of the Manufacturer, maintaining complete brand satisfaction, and applying sound proven sales and marketing strategies to generate new business.

Skills and Experience

  • A proven track record in customer facing /account management roles
  • A strong understanding of digital systems and be ability to present complex, long terms solutions to automotive manufacturer clients
  • The ability to sell to senior management within automotive manufacturers
  • Previous experience in digital marketing solutions in the automotive sector is desirable however candidates with a background selling IT solutions to large businesses in other industry sectors would also be welcomed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate a strong drive and ambition to succeed
  • Live centrally within the UK – within reach of Cheshire (2 to 3 days a week)
