Our client is a marketing agency who handles the retail marketing for an automotive manufacturer and their dealer network. They are now seeking an Account Director to lead the team consisting of agency and field based staff. Based at the agency in the Midlands, you will also spend a large proportion of your time at the manufacturer’s HQ.
Overview of the Role
The Account Director role is a senior leadership role with responsibility for leading and developing a multi-disciplined team split between marketing consultants, customer service, creative, art-working and production.
This team is responsible for developing and delivering budgeted marketing plans which can be proven to increase sales for allocated retailers. They work with the manufacturer’s retailers across the UK providing local site marketing advice and support for new, used, finance, fleet and aftersales communications linked to integrated media services.
The Account Director will ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction to both the manufacturer head office and their retailer network through the efficient and effective deployment of the products and services.
The successful candidate will have:
Automotive retail marketing experience gained either in a field or agency based role
Strong leadership and people management skills
Channel marketing experience
Strong financial management and budget control skills
Highly developed client handling skills
Strong planning and work load balancing skills
Actively participate in the development of customer strategy
Excellent project management skills
Ability to write both strategic and tactical proposals
Ability to deliver clear effective briefs to creative teams
