Position Description


We are looking for an Account Director to be responsible for creating strong mutually beneficial partnerships with the allocated client group by strategically improving and growing their business and revenue predominantly at Head Office level but with some Dealer-level engagement

•Determining the medium/long term strategy for each Account by understanding client needs and business plan and aligning this products and services
•Understand the organisation structure, key decision makers, budget holders and strategy of the client and reflect these in the account strategy
•Influence the development of the business strategy
•Be the Voice of client
•Developing and cultivating client/TMG partnership to reflect respect and trust and becoming a trusted partner
•Building appropriate relationships with key contact, influencing and facilitating an open approach to all the dealerships within the accounts
•Act as the lead contact point to co-ordinate representations from TMG specialist, eg, DMS, E-Commerce
•Liaise with the Regional Sales Managers and Account Management team to ensure an effective delivery of client campaigns and dealership performance
•Be pro-actively responsible for the Account Relationship and Health, providing regular reports, updates and insight on account performance.
•Improve client satisfaction levels
•Attend and escort clients at various hospitality events
•Ensure client satisfaction across all services and systems measurable through retention, participation and ease of renewal/rate review process
•Serve as the ultimate point of escalation
•Maintain accurate and current records of client
•Support Company financial goals by growing accounts and nurturing new relationships
•Be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and achieve an increase in revenue
•Own the campaign plan and management for all accounts
•Adhere to the Miller Heiman Sales process and Salesforce to record account activities.
•Lead any contract and pricing negotiations, focusing on demonstrating the value and presenting TMG as a long term business partner
•Ensure long-term sustainable account profitability
•Provide accurate and timely data for revenue forecasting
•Provide qualified contributions to product development, roadmaps and specifications
•Provide data-driven market insight to contribute to pricing strategy
•Stay abreast of trends in the automotive and digitally enabled world


Required Experience


•Experience in an account management or sales role
•Accountability for client revenue of c£2m
•Strong communication ability at all levels, including ability to listen, and professional presentation skills
•Strong business development and Sales skills with ability to provide insight from key data
•Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand a clients business needs
•Strong organisational skills and ability to manage several simultaneous Accounts
•Creative, resourceful, detail-orientated, highly organised
•Excellent networking and interpersonal skills
•Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
•Proven negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to be assertive when appropriate
•Knowledge of the tender / proposal process coupled with strong proposal writing skills
•Able to prioritise tasks and delegate were appropriate to manage personal time/resources
•Must have a passion for providing a client experience second to none.
•Effective relationship builder at all client levels
•Personally effective – resilient and works to tight deadlines
•Assertive when required
•Sports a variety of negotiation tactics to influence and persuade without alienation
•Self starter happy to self-motivate but equally comfortable contributing to a team
 

Salary and Benefits


This role offers a basic of upto £50,000 plus an OTE of up to £65,000 per annum, plus great benefits
