 The Company
A car manufacturer is seeking a field-based area sales manager to work with dealers across southern England (Birmingham southwards). Your role will involve working with dealers on highly profitable, premium brand cars.

Job Purpose
Primary in territory sales interface between Head Office and the Dealer Network.  Responsible for influencing the behaviour and actions of the Dealers in assigned area. Responsible for the achievement of the required sales volumes and budgeted costs.

Main Duties Include:
Responsible for ensuring that the Dealers achieve their sales objectives.
Working with and auditing Dealers to ensure a robust sales process.
Working with Dealers to improve customer satisfaction to achieve constant improvement.
Ensuring the Dealers’ sales personnel fully complete the required training schedules.
Ensuring the Dealers’ quarterly marketing plan in place and appropriate
Ensuring Dealers order and carry appropriate levels and mix of stock & demonstrators
Ensuring the Dealers adhere to the minimum required standards.
Head Office reporting including weekly sales forecasting by model;
Work with the poor performing Dealers to improve their performance

The successful candidate will have
A detailed knowledge of the UK Automotive Industry and particularly the Sales environment.
Demonstrate a track record of success and achievements of targets in your current role
Have a progressive career history and demonstrate potential for future promotion
Experience in either a field-based role for an automotive manufacturer; a regional sales role for a dealer group or leasing company.
Commercially aware with a strong volume and profit orientation.
Good influencer – able to build and maintain strong relationships with owners, dealership management and staff, and command the personal respect of same.
Self-motivated, high levels of drive and hunger to achieve personal targets.
Used to working under pressure to tight deadlines.
Disciplined, well organised, with good attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Live in Southern England – ideally centrally within the region
Competence in IT and standard Microsoft packages
