Job Title: Assistant Service Manager/Workshop Control
Location: Eastbourne Audi
Department: Service
Hours of Work:  8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday
8.00am to 1.00pm Saturdays on a rota basi
Salary: Commensurate with skills and responsibilities


Main Purpose of Job

To control and co-ordinate the activities of employees in the Aftersales Department and ensure the highest quality of work is carried out at all times.  Productive efficiency is to be maintained at 100% minimum overall and the department profit achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Deputise for Aftersales Manager.

In the absence of the Aftersales Manager, ensure all Company and Audi UK reports completed and submitted on time.

Ensure that you and the team deliver exceptional customer service

Manage WIP to ensure all jobs are flagged and WIP is reviewed on a daily basis with Service Advisors

Monitor 1 Link, Coopers, Extended warranty, collection and deliveries, outstanding warranty claims, customer shelf, and action any issues

Manage EVHC system to ensure all opportunities to identify and sell additional work are maximised

Ensure all elements of HSO and Service Audit are completed by yourself and each Service Advisor and Technicians

Monitor calibration of equipment using spread sheets and re arrange/update on a monthly cycle

Check stock vehicle for campaigns

Cascade Tracker sheet and discuss actions/issues

Allocate work to technicians and apprentices with due consideration to their knowledge and skills.

Liaise with the Aftersales Manager and ensure that he/she is advised of any delay to, or of any further work needed on a customer vehicle.

All customers’ vehicles which are left in the workshop to be secure and safe, with all equipment switched off.

Carry out quality control process and on vehicles and record results.

Ensure that the highest standards of tidiness and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

Maintain a filing system for all Technical Bulletins and relevant documentation.

Strict control of signing off technicians’ time on ‘job cards’.

All ‘job card’ reports to be clear and concise, to be kept clean and returned to the Service Reception upon completion of any work.
