Renault-Nissan Consulting (RNC) requires an Automotive Consultant for the successful delivery of consultancy support to our clients primarily in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be a consummate and credible professional delivering RNC’s products and services to Directors, Senior Management and Staff of major automotive groups, manufacturers, independent dealerships and other organisations in the automotive supply chain.

 

Working within a dedicated team, the role will involve the delivery of consultant days, including analysis and deployment of a range of business improvement initiatives, working with the organisations at all levels.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working within the automotive industry in either a manufacturer or a dealership role.

You should be enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal, presentation and administration skills and be PC literate. The candidate must have the ability to understand client needs, to carry out a business process analysis and then deploy recommended improvement projects. Travel is a major factor and is predicted to be predominantly UK with some overnight stops. European travel can be expected from time to time.

Responsible to: Director – Renault Nissan Alliance/Client Directors

External relationships: Vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and retail automotive clients from line managers to director level

Internal relationships: Directors, Senior Management, Business Development Team, Consultants, Assessors and Administration Team

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm but can be outside these hours

Location: Home Office, in the field and RNC Office in Maple Cross

Main duties of the post are to:

 achieve agreed deployment, quality and sales objectives

 plan deployments effectively

 achieve client satisfaction to agreed criteria
 represent RNC to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails

 be responsible for your own appointment setting, you will spend a minimum of 80% of your time out of the office delivering consultancy days

 possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all additional sales opportunities are maximised

 be accountable for all project reporting documentation and administration, following RNC procedure

 Proven success in your ability and demonstrable knowledge to facilitate change

 Confidence in presenting to clients and colleagues in a variety of mediums

 Ability to promote and win business from both new and existing clients

 Capable of a hands on approach, with ability to generate ideas and solutions

 A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business improvement opportunities

 Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail

 Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks

 Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation

 Excellent organisational and time management skills

 A positive attitude to dealing with people

 Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual

 Clean UK driving licence

Desirable skills:

 French or other language skills would be a distinct advantage

Estimated time allocation:

 80% delivering consulting days to clients

 20% administration and helping to improve our products and services
