Bodyshop Workshop Controller - Kettering

About the role:
We are currently seeking to recruit a Bodyshop Workshop Controller to manage the throughput of vehicles in one of our busy bodyshops. The successful candidate will control job start and finish times, working closely with Technicians and other bodyshop personnel to ensure that vehicles are repaired in a timely, safe and correct manner. They will conduct daily progress meetings and report any problems or unexpected delays to the General Manager. They will also be responsible for ensuring that tools, plant and equipment are maintained in good working order.

About you:
Previous experience of working in a busy bodyshop is essential. ; Applicants will ideally have held a workshop control or supervisory position, although individuals with strong Technician backgrounds will also be considered. Either way, you will be able to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair methodology. With good organisational skills, you will be capable of planning and prioritising work to ensure that jobs are completed on time and to the high standards expected by our customers. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with internal customers and suppliers.
