Our client is a training provider which manages the delivery of apprenticeships and full cost training. They are now seeking a Business Development Manager to develop business in the automotive sector by pro-actively selling their services into dealerships.
This role will report to the Business Development Director and suit a self-starting, enthusiastic, experienced field sales person who thrives on new business and opening doors and opportunities.
You will be required to promote their training and apprentice division whilst managing appointment and work load with ease. You will need to demonstrate a proven track-record in B2B sales - ideally with experience of selling into Car Dealerships and Garages.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Proactive sales – Cold Calling and appointment setting
Maximising opportunities – thinking outside the box
Reporting and forecasting in line with set targets and KPI’s
The Successful Candidate
Educated to A’ Level standard
Have a track-record in out-bound business to business sales
Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and negotiate
Show a genuine enthusiasm for the role and demonstrate potential for future development
Demonstrate a progressive career to date
Be highly target focused
Be competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Be comfortable in presentations to board level
Ideally have knowledge of the motor industry and apprenticeships
Ideally be current using Salesforce CRM
Be living in the North East of England
