Our client is an innovative IT company providing solutions to the automotive market that shape the way customers are attracted to and interact with automotive manufacturers and retailers. Already renowned as market innovators the company is in an exciting growth phase and are about to launch a range of new products to the market.  The company is associated with some of the most prestigious and respected brands in the industry.

Due to this growth they are now looking to recruit a field-based Business Development Manager (BDM) based in the North of England (ideally located within easy commute of the M62 corridor or North Midlands). 

The Role
Reporting into the Sales Director, the Business Development Manager will be targeting automotive retailers with a range of unique and innovative online point of sale/showroom sales and marketing solutions. These will include web based finance and PCP calculators, showroom finance presentation and fulfillment systems and motor credit check programs with further innovations over time. Typical customers will include new and used vehicle retailers to medium sized dealer groups as well as supporting our manufacturer head office relationships with their dealers in the field.  There may also be some expansion into the online retail sector over time.

The BDM will be responsible for a defined market sector and geographic territory. You will initially be responsible for an existing product portfolio that is already highly successful as well as launching new products into their customer and prospect base. There will be a large degree of autonomy with responsibility for driving their diary and appointments.  The BDM will present, negotiate and close with their customers as well as offering post sale implementation and training support. It is expected that they will be making a minimum of 8 calls per week. They will also need to feed customer comment and requirements back to the business and as such have a key role in shaping future success. Prospects for advancement are excellent as the company will continue to grow and expand into new markets.

The successful candidate will:
Ideally have experience of selling into automotive dealerships or similar in a field based environment. 
Exceptional candidates with field based experience in other markets can be considered. 
Demonstrate a flair for sales excellent closing skills
Be a self-starter
Have strong presentation skills
Demonstrate the ability to understand online solutions
Demonstrate the ability to engage with customers at owner/General Manager level
Be well presented
Be located within easy commute of the M62 corridor or North Midlands
