Our client, Honda Motor Europe has an urgent requirement for two energetic Business Development Managers to join an evolving department within their European Motorcycle division. These roles are fully accountable for the operational performance and development of a group of countries within the Emerging Market business unit of the Europe/MEA region for Motorcycles. You should be a natural leader and motivator with strong commercial acumen, good influencing skills and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Ideally with European experience, you will be a Motorcycle enthusiast who is flexible to travel quite extensively within the role.
Leadership of the individual businesses within a group of countries to achieve agreed business targets.
Development of those businesses to accelerate their growth in customer and dealer satisfaction, brand image and sales, service and parts volumes.
Regularly visit and review business’s in terms of their network, marketing strategy, retail & wholesale forecasts and profit & loss.
Produce quarterly business review reports and present to senior management and European HQ.
Business accountability for market and sales forecasting, targeting and performance.
Gain a thorough understanding of distribution routes for motorcycles across Europe/MEA regions.
Active management and development of the marketing mix – product, price, promotion and required supply.
Business accountability for the corporate governance and financial health of distributor businesses.
Skills and experience required:
A business professional with good commercial & financial acumen.

Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills at a senior level in a commercial business environment.
High energy, very enthusiastic and self motivated.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven track record of motivating a group of indirect reports and dealers to challenge substantial change.
Results focussed with a proven ability to set and achieve ambitious targets.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of dealer operations preferred.
Freedom to travel extensively in order to influence emerging markets.
European markets experience is preferable.
