Our client, a leading multi-billion dollar corporation based in Saudi Arabia with automotive, real estate and financial services amongst several other major operations is seeking to recruit a highly experiened and talented Chief Financial Officer, tasked to specifically assist them in developing and leading a best in class finance function. The individual will need to be a fully qualified accountant and have previous experience of raising capital. Ideally you should come from an automotive, real estate or financial services background and it is essential you have had experience of working with a multi-billion dollar organisation.
Planning & Budgeting:
•Develops and consolidates business plans and budgets in collaboration with other business heads.
•Responsible for financial planning and fund liquidity management ensuring capital adequacy and optimal capital structure.
Financial Management, Accounting, & Reporting:
•Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Accounts function and ensuring establishment of adequate internal controls and system.
•Oversees and reviews the consolidated accounting records and financial statements of the company.
•Coordinates with the company's external auditors in finalising the financial statements.
•Reviews budget variances and identifies the reasons for the variances based on discussions with the concerned department heads.
•Establishes standard reporting formats and ensures that they are applied by all the entities
•Directs and ensures the preparation of financial reports, including: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Retained Earnings, and Cash Flow Statement, completed by the set deadline.
•Ensures compliance with applicable standards and local/international regulations applicable to the financial statements and related reports.
•Establishes cut-off procedures and dates and communicates them to all department employees in a timely manner.
Treasury and Financial Management:
•Maintains and manages liquidity/working capital to support the day to day business operations, including oversight management of liquidity of subsidiaries.
•Arranges for funds through various sources for meeting the financial requirements of the company's activities in line with the overall corporate policies.
•Ensures compliance with various requirements in connection with financial facilities/borrowings obtained and manages relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Who we're looking for
•A graduate degree or equivalent in accounting or finance or business
•Considerable finance experience gained within a regulated organisation.
•Qualified Accountants (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, FCCA, BA/B. Sc. or equivalent) will be preferred for this role.
•Previous experience of working within the Middle East is strongly preferred
•Previous experience in setting up new processes and procedures
•Fluency in English is essential, Arabic advantageous
•Ability to communicate at all levels
