A highly successful automotive manufacturer is seeking 2 field based Area Managers to work with their dealers to maximise Electric Vehicles sales. Each role will manage a dedicated region of the UK dealers - one covering Northern UK and the other Southern UK. Candidates will ideally live in a central location within each region with access to good roads.
This role would suit an ambitious, degree educated individual with a proven track record of success working for an automotive manufacturer or large dealer group. Ideally you will currently be working in a field base area sales role for an automotive manufacturer. Any experience in the electric or hybrid vehicle sector would be a great advantage, however if you do not have experience in the sector but can demonstrate a genuine interest in the sector we would love to hear from you.
Overall purpose of role:
To manage a territory of dealers to ensure that they meet the requirements of the Franchise in terms of quality of representation and product sales mix and volumes in relation to Electric Vehicles.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Ensure dealer engagement at all times in the manufacturer’s Electric vehicle programme.
Assist Dealers to meet sales targets, volume, model mix and sales channel mix.
To ensure a proper and effective Electric Vehicle sales process is in place at every dealer.
To ensure that every dealer has a fully implemented and utilised lead management enquiry process.
To ensure dealer showrooms are merchandised in line with campaign requirements
To ensure every dealer has an individual Electric Vehicle marketing plan & assist dealers in marketing events
To support the Used car team to ensure the profitable disposal of used EV’s at dealer level, and, maximise sales of used EV’s through the dealer network.
The successful candidate will have:
Ideally you will currently be working in a field based area sales role for an automotive manufacturer
A good knowledge of the motor industry with experience working for either a manufacturer or large dealer group
Excellent understanding of, and ability to improve upon, the sales process systems currently utilised within the dealer network
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills at boardroom and dealer level
A working knowledge of Electric Vehicles would be a great advantage.
Experienced in Using Microsoft package: Access literate with advanced Excel and Word. Ability to use PowerPoint.
