Our client is a marketing agency who manage the dealer events programme for an automotive manufacturer.
They are now seeking an Account Director with a strong background in events to manage this account. You will be responsible for circa 200 events per annum ranging from small dealer ‘product placements’ to motor shows, county shows and ride & drive events.
Whilst the role is based at the agency in London, you will not be required to be in the agency 5 days a week. There is possible scope for the role to be a part-time role – for the right candidate.
To direct an automotive dealer events programme for a leading manufacturer
Staff recruitment, management and appraisal
Ensuring that KPIs are met at all times
Working closely with the dealer network, regional teams, central client and central agency teams
Producing detailed events proposals
Strict control of timings and budgets
Managing relationships with third party suppliers
Controlling HSE, legal and insurance liabilities
Management of logistical operations
Management of the event marketing process
Managing staffing levels and on-site performance
Post event evaluation
Skills and Experience
A background in event management – ideally in the automotive sector
A strong track record in account management at Account Manager or Director level
The ability to deliver our client a service of the very highest quality
Strong organisational skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
The ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
Must demonstrate attention to detail
Budget management and reporting skills are key
