Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will be responsible for the management of our newly integrated Fleet and Transport service from across the Council. This is a pivotal role, combining strategic leadership and direction within the department and corporately.
You dont need to have transport experience, but you do need to have the ability to manage within a highly operational environment, keeping an eye on the detail whilst driving through the changes that will deliver our vision. You will be an effective people manager able to motivate others, with a proven commitment to equalities and diversity issues.
Importantly, you will demonstrate an ability to achieve results drawing on your experience in a complex and heavily regulated environment.
