Our client is an expanding and successful business, operating within the Foodservice Vending arena. With over 1100 staff in the UK, and 5000 in total operating on a Pan-European basis across 20 countries, the business is focussed on delivering excellent customer service to its Clients through regular Sales & Service support.
The role of Fleet Manager for the UK is a new position in the business, focussing on driving cost efficiency through the on-going management, maintenance and purchasing of circa 700 vehicles. The current fleet comprises of both management cars, estate vehicles for Engineers and LCV’s for Field merchandisers, who replenish vending units operating throughout the UK out of Regional Offices.
We are seeking an individual who has run a similar sized fleet, taking responsibility for whole life cost, purchase and disposal, fleet replacement cycle and cost efficiencies within the business. Supporting these core skills the successful candidate will need to demonstrate outstanding influencing and organisational ability, taking on a broad spectrum of tasks on a day to day basis.
Previous experience of managing a medium sized vehicle fleet is essential, and the nature of the business would dictate that ideally the successful candidate is based in Central Southern England or West Midlands regions.
