My client is a highly respected and major motor group in the Middle East, the Company represents some of the world's finest automotive brands.
Due to progressive growth a vacancy has arisen for an experienced Franchise Director to assume responsibility for operations covering several locations with the task of assuring high-quality, high-performance market representation.
•Monitor and analyse market sales, industry developments, competitive actions and economic outlook in order to prepare recommendations concerning the sales and marketing strategies within the Luxury Performance Segment.
•Routinely analyse and prepare information concerning the activities of competitors in terms of their sales volumes, pricing strategies, product reviews and marketing strategy.
•Guide the regional sales teams via close one-on-one and group communication of responsibilities and objectives.
•Create/maintain a high-performance, engaged team atmosphere consistent with manufacturer and the company's desired corporate culture.
•Maximise sales, market penetration, CSI, and Retailer profitability within the market in a manner that strengthens brand image.
•Protect the image of the Brand and its products by ensuring that the dealer organisation provides the facilities and service that vehicle owners are entitled to and expect.
•Ensure Retailer compliance with the Retailer Agreement, Business Plan, and all other policies and agreements (i.e., demo cars, Corporate Identity, etc.).
•Maintain a strong and visible presence within the regional network, in particular with the regional managers, the sales team and management team. Conduct regular dealer visits and complete agendas and contact reports to be forwarded for action follow-up to relevant parties at the dealership.
•Review the financial structure and financial operating efficiency of the branches to ensure the achievement of financial strength, stability, and increased profitability - and make recommendations for improvement as required.
•Review effectiveness and efficiency of branch management and staff and make necessary recommendations to regional managers & branch managers.
•Review and discuss long-term future planning goals of the brand in the region and the single branches with regards to volume, profitability, facility network to ensure the long-term stability of the business.
•Working with Dealer Development, recommend and plan facility improvements in accordance with manufacturer standards; assist and guide in all phases from property purchase to building-completion.
•Perform a dealer facility review on a quarterly basis to ensure the branch projects the appropriate image to customers and the general public.
•Oversee & steer national and local marketing and promotional efforts. Close cooperation with the central marketing team, branches and sales teams to ensure effective and efficient use of marketing funds.
•Ensure a high and consistent level of communication between Aftersales (Parts & Service), Marketing, Finance, Dealer Development, and Sales staff.
•Recommend and plan facility & service improvements in accordance with manufacturer standards; manage the overhead and day-to-day operations of the brand. Manage and maintain budget in accordance to the brand requirements.
•University Degree or equivalent.
•Extensive automotive experience required (currently Franchise Director, Brand Manager, General Manager, and Dealer Principal Etc)
•Knowledge of competitive environment in luxury segment
•Well developed and proven analytical skills
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with customers and retailer personnel
•Well-developed PC skills (MS Office) as a minimum
•Self motivated, results driven
•Ability to work in a team environment
•Experience managing people
•This position requires 50% travel
