General Sales Manager Required

Chorley Group are looking to appoint a highly motivated, well experienced General Sales Manager to manage and develop our Chorley Group dealership in Burnley. The individual must be able to operate in line with corporate and manufacturer strategies and be used to achieving budgeted profit, sales and quality targets through the effective management of available resources within the dealership.

The individual should demonstrate a strong ability to maintain high standards within their team, in line with the family ethos of Chorley Group. This opportunity is a fantastic chance for an individual to join one of the UK's most reputable dealer group's, Lancashire's number one family business and a transparent, growing organisatrion.

 

Qualifications

No specific qualifications required - industry experience and a proven managerial track record are essential.

Standard accounting practises to P and L.  

Franchise and industry standards

Current legislative requirements (inc BER and FCA)

 

Experience                                                              

General Management experience

Customer Service practises and techniques

Manufacturer or franchise experience desirable

The ability to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations. To understand and apply customer services techniques.

Operations

The ability to utilize resources effectively and safely to meet workload demands and maximize operational efficiency. 

Financial and Commercial Awareness

The ability to understand, interpret and exploit Company, market and financial information in order to develop and maximise profit opportunities within our trading environment. 

People Management

The ability to identify talented people, to train, coach, appraise and give performance feedback to colleagues in order to maximise their potential, to use all learning opportunities to develop self and others in line with business and individual needs and to lead a team that is inspired to achieve common goals. 

Sales and Marketing

The ability to identify and maximise sales opportunities.
