UK based but with regular travel to Europe working with local teams contributing towards central objective setting and targets, liaison with Marketing, Customer, Dealer Development and Product Planning divisions, coordinating country business plans and supporting practical implementation of agreed action plans.
With a genuine passion for cars and an energetic mindset ideally you will have worked for a major automotive manufacturer as a Head of Country, Senior Sales Management or Regional Dealership role with European responsibility.
Regional car sales performance against quarterly and annual targets.
Country profitability in line with agreed quarterly and annual goals.
Development of strong working relationship with each region.
Implementation of KPI targets and implementation of activities.
Ensuring delivery of Pan-European brand strategy.
Reporting to the Head of European Sales, responsibilities include achievement of overall car sales performance across the region, leadership and support to senior management teams to achieve sales objectives, launch strategy and taking a lead role in coordinating sales, Marketing, Product Planning, Public Relation and Customer Divisions activities to ensure alignment and timely delivery of milestones.
Managing strategy, forecasting and planning; monitoring and evaluating sales trends and general market conditions, presenting and monitoring budgets, sales volumes and profitability whilst working towards achievement of long term company vision.
Managing Operations to include sales planning processes and procedures, model life cycles, detailed SP-flow planning for new model introduction and run-out of old models plus new model price sign-off. Monthly/Quarterly management of European sales forecasts, reviewing activities for new model launch, analyse the capacity and capability of the European dealer network and make recommendations to improve performance in conjunction with network development.
Personal requirements and skills:
Fluency in English and at least 1 other European language, Ability to work autonomously, flexible to work longer hours and travel at short notice.
Stature, presence & credibility to represent Honda in dealership environment at a senior level.
Results oriented, over achiever, comfortable balancing priorities and working to tight deadlines.
A balanced portfolio of skills and abilities ranging from strategic business planning to hands-on tactical programme implementation.
A senior manager with field based dealer network-facing experience ideally within Europe.
Experience in other automotive disciplines (eg. Fleet sales, franchising, business management).
Inspirational leadership skills, a commercial mind and ability to quickly gain respect and trust.
Excellent networking and relationship building skills.
Straight talking, open and honest approach with a high level of personal integrity and standing.
Degree qualified or equivalent.
