Honda is the world’s largest and leading engine manufacturer with a diverse product range including cars, motorbikes, power equipment and marine.

Due to several internal promotions, they are seeking to recruit an experienced Sales/Commercial Manager for their Power Equipment/Lawn & Garden product range and be responsible for the sales and network development strategy aimed at delivering this division’s commercial objectives across Europe.

Reporting to the Department Manager, the key challenge for this role will be to set the overall European Consumer and Industrial targets and objectives to then inspire the team to maximise Honda business in a changing market place.  The main responsibilities for this role will be to act as the main point of contact between the head office based in the UK and the European based sales teams.  You will regularly review market information and with close discussion with European countries, create as accurate sales forecast as is possible.  You will set and deliver the European strategy and where appropriate, the implementation of sales campaigns.  You will liaise with many departments within Honda in particular product planning, logistics and marketing. 

To be considered for this role, you must be a results oriented professional who is comfortable balancing priorities and working to tight deadlines. With a successful background in in sales and marketing, your experience will have been gained within the Power Equipment or Lawn and Garden sector.  A strong and commercial individual is required to shape and deliver the Honda vision and strategy.  You will enjoy the leadership and management of people and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to quickly build strong business relationships and influence at all levels. Experience of working within Europe would be beneficial but not essential.

Please note this position will involve regular travel to Europe, 2-3 times a month so any additional European languages would be highly beneficial.
