Honda is recruiting a Press & Events Manager to join the Corporate Affairs team based from their Head Office in Langley, Berkshire. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Affairs the PR Events Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of media and opinion former test drives, launches and events and Honda’s dealer, customer and media operations.
The PR & Events Manager acts as a pivotal link between Honda and opinion formers (media, customer advocates, industry and government influencers) by focusing on events to achieve:
Awareness and understanding of Honda's brand and products within the UK market
The best media test drive experience in the UK motor industry
Strengthened position of Honda within the British car market
Achieve public and media awareness and dealership support and usage.
Main Responsibilities include:
Responsibility for press trips to Motor Shows
Liaison with European Press launch activities
Oversee the management of the PR executive and Fleet and Launch Executives
Ongoing development of the media website press fleet online booking system and event management functionality
Attend and manage all Honda on-site activity at key Press/Corporate Events
Key contact for all guests/sponsors attending race weekends
Manage all enquires relating to hospitality both internally and externally
Provide all printed materials to go to hospitality guests for race weekends
Manage key suppliers involved in the project, from hospitality to merchandise
Large commercial/corporate Events Management
Motor industry experience is highly beneficial
Budget responsibility circa £1.5m
Flexibility to work weekend’s evenings and to travel across Europe on a regular basis
