Honda are currently recruiting a Product Planning Executive to join their European Motorcycles Planning Team. This role will ‘champion’ the development of products for the market that will satisfy defined target customer needs, deliver sustainable sales volume based on a market share objective, resulting in a pre-defined bottom line contribution. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of future product line ups through participation in the product development flow through supporting the logic and rationale of European product requirements. Main Responsibilities:
Actively liaise with engineering team to manage current product line up throughout the total lifecycle to deliver the defined commercial objectives.
Deliver a product proposition that will achieve the required sales volume, profitability and market share at “age” and “price” points.
Champion’ customer requirements using in depth customer insight tools and measurable criteria with both European product planners and Honda.
Through effective involvement and management of the Sales Plan, ensure that all communications and business activity throughout the business adheres to the agreed product positioning.
Invigorate all members of our routes to market about our “product proposition” to drive their voluntary adherence to the required communication style and message
Deliver the consumer with the appropriate information through a route that meets their personal and individual needs
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
An individual who exudes natural enthusiasm for motorcycle products and the joy they bring to the consumer
Diplomatic, yet clear and the ability to adjust personal style to mirror “traditionalist” and “adventurous” audiences
Outstanding planning skills and the ability to manage several diverse tasks at once
Strong data-mining skills and ability to turn data into action
Previous sales orientated experience in the motor cycle sector an advantage
Ideally Degree educated or more than four years commercial experience
Marketing qualifications or membership of a marketing association preferred
