Honda Motorcycles Technical Consultant
Honda is the world's leading motorcycle manufacturer with a diverse and industry leading product range including cars, power equipment and marine. Their Technical Centre is now looking to further develop their team and recruit an experienced Motorcycle Technical Consultant.
Reporting to the Motorcycle Engineering Manager, your role will be to work as part of a team responsible for the collection and reflection of market quality information with a clear view to rapid mass production quality improvement. In addition, you will be involved in the preparation of market information for field repair, the supply of technical support to the market and the reflection of market requirements for future new models.
Other responsibilities within this role include gathering, analysing and prioritising market information (Warranty, market report, customer survey etc) in order to prepare monthly market reports to assist problem resolution with the factory and Research & Development. You will also carry out detailed market investigation in order to clarify market situation and prepare data / reports to ensure clear understanding of the market situation.
As this is a predominantly an office based role, the position would suit an experienced motorcycle technician who is keen to develop themselves within a corporate/office environment who is comfortable dealing with customer queries over the phone.
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong technical understanding of motorcycles and have a high computer literacy, ideally Excel, Word and Access with the ability to arrange data through pivot tables and charts. You will be highly numerate and able to build strong relationships over the phone both internally and externally. Finally, you must have a strong passion for motorcycles as well as a full motorcycle licence.
