Our client is an automotive manufacturer with a highly successful and innovative trade parts programme. They now seek a field based Key Account Manager to cover Northern England. The role will initially be for a short-term contract of circa 20 months but could be extended beyond this period.
Purpose of Role
The Key Account Manager is responsible for the identification, negotiations and on-going relationship management of Key Accounts in order that central ownership of customer development across multiple territories is delivered in line with the company’s growth plans.
This is a field based outbound sales role and would suit a really driven salesperson who enjoys the challenge of building new business. You will be working on your own much of the time and will need to be self-motivated and organised. In return you will enjoy working for a leading iconic brand name with a compelling sales offering.
Delivery of Key Account Manager sales targets
Prospecting and delivering of new Key Accounts in line with quarterly targets
Undertake programme of customer acquisition to increase sales penetration in key sectors, Fastfit, IMT, Emergency Services and Crash
Manage, prospect and develop sales growth with customers
The successful candidate will:
Have a proven track record in a Business to Business sales environment
Experience in the automotive sector is not required but you must be able to demonstrate a track record of success in developing outbound sales and new customer acquisition in a B2B environment
Be happy working in a fast paced, target driven environment
Be able to work independently and manage your time effectively
Be of graduate calibre
Excellent communications skills verbal & written
Be numerate and IT Literate (proven competence with Word and Excel a minimum)
