An automotive manufacturer is seeking an experienced National Fleet Sales Manager to lead and manage a team of area sales managers. The position will be field based and include extensive travel across the UK, including regular head office meetings.

We are looking for someone, who not only has an impressive track record in automotive fleet sales but is also able to demonstrate strong leadership and strategic ability, combined with strong people management experience. You will need to be able to drive and motive your team and constantly seek new opportunities to win fleet business for the manufacturer. You will be an instinctive sales person with a hunger to succeed and have a highly driven approach to reaching and exceeding sales targets. The candidate should have a firm understanding of both the corporate end-user market place and leasing industry. You should be career orientated, with the appetite to progress within the manufacturer. 

Key Responsibilities
Maximise sales of fleet vehicles to large businesses and the public sector.
Lead and motivate a field-based team of Sales Managers.
Maximise the profitability of sales within area of responsibility.
Ensure accurate record keeping of all customer data.
Build and nurture relationships within the UK Fleet industry.

The successful candidate will:
Be educated to A level standard or equivalent
Have a track record in business to business sales
Demonstrate strong people management skills –  previous experience in a people management role.
Have experience working in a field-based role
Have strong commercial awareness
Have a good understanding of the UK fleet industry dynamics.
Ability to remain motivated under pressure and in the face of setbacks
Demonstrate a progressive career history to date
Good IT skills with advanced Excel and Word.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
Be computer literate. Competent with Word, Powerpoint and Excel
