An automotive manufacturer is seeking a field-based Network Development Manager to cover Southern and South West England.

Job Purpose
To support the delivery of the Brand Network Representation Strategy and to support the Business Development of the retail network
Project managing retailer ownership transfers, site relocations and developments,
Prospecting and meeting new applicants, and by supporting Retailers with business planning, budgeting and business development.

Duties will include:
Assume the role of principal contact for franchising projects
Work in collaboration with the Regional Sales and Aftersales Managers, the Network Development Strategy Manager and Business management managers.
Project manage Retailer Openings and Terminations, supporting the retailers during this process, and where necessary liaising with funding institutions and third party stakeholders.
Project manage Retailer relocations and site developments
Prospect and meet new applicants for Manufacturer approval
Present project proposals and updates to Senior Management.
Support Retailers with their business planning and budgeting
Engage with and support Retailers experiencing financial underperformance, and in particular those in a loss making situation
Support Retailers in business investment and developments.
Work on recovery plans with Retailers

The successful candidate will have:
Must have a broad and thorough knowledge of the motor industry and retailer operations.
Graduate level qualifications
Must have good negotiation presentation and communication skills and be able to communicate at a senior management / board level.
Must be flexible and adaptable to fast changing situations.
Good organisational skills are required for the successful management of multiple and varied projects.
Must be approachable, fair and reasonable in dealing with applicants and existing retailers.
Has tenacity and determination to achieve results and build relationships.
Ability to use their own time and that of others efficiently and effectively.
Strong attention to detail
